Evergreen Investments Announces Institutional Sales Hire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Evergreen Investments’ Institutional Division announced today that it has hired Kirsten Burton and Sean Kelly as Sales Directors.

Over the past five years, the Institutional division has added 44 new hires across the asset management, sub-advisory and short-term fixed income sales teams. Effective immediately, Kirsten Burton joins Evergreen as Vice President and Director of Midwest Regional Sales, reporting to Lisa Wesolek, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Asset Management Sales. Burton will be responsible for equity and fixed income product sales in the mid-western United States. She is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Prior to joining Evergreen, Burton served as Vice President of Institutional Sales and Client Service at Advantus Capital Management. Previously, in addition to holding the position of Director of Marketing and Sales/Chief Operating Officer for Windsor Financial Group, Burton spent nine years at Alliance Capital Management, most recently serving as Vice President of Institutional Marketing and Client Service. Burton received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas.
Effective immediately, Sean Kelly joins Evergreen as Vice President and Director of Sub-Advisory Sales, reporting to Pam Rose, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Sub-Advisory Sales and Service.
Kelly will be responsible for identifying new sub-advisory business in the U.S. across Evergreen’s equity and fixed income platforms. He is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Evergreen, Kelly spent ten years at Wellington Management, most recently serving as a sub-advisory Global Relationship Manager. Previously, he spent eight years at Fidelity Investments, holding a number of positions in compliance, product management and institutional sales. Kelly received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bentley College and his Master’s Degree from Boston College. He holds the CFA designation.
